Marcela is a multidisciplinary artist living nestled between mountains, on Sinixt territory. In Winlaw, BC. 

 She grew up moving between borders of Central and North America. Her art is a conversation between worlds expressed through paintings, masks, tattoos and hand-painted clothing. With themes such as the cycle of life, death and becoming of selves, fun plant-creatures and beings from other dimensions; transformations captured in a moment to understand something that can't be put into words but ring familiar deep inside.
